Thank you to those that attended today. A most strange meeting with five new members and their cars, a lot of the regulars missing for various reasons and a lot of members left early to see the Grand Prix.

Laxfield village fete 17^th July

Kimbolton Country Fayre 18^th July

I’ve managed to get 29 tickets and only have a home for 12 of them, so far.

Some of us had been camping over the weekend and arrived a bit late, It was good to see so many kits in the car park.

Newark Kit car show 19/20^th June

I’ll be going on the Saturday morning; I’ll be arranging a convoy starting at

Please let me know if you are planning to meet me there, so I can just go when I feel like it if I’m alone.

I will have my car displayed on the Luego owner stand over the weekend. I will be camping on the area first left after main gate.

Two counties show 27^th June

This is held at Newmarket Rowley Mile Racecourse Newmarket.

We need to be there for 08.30. I’ve collected the names of three that wish to attend and 4 maybes.

Those that are going need to meet at Newmarket service no later than 08.00

T shirts/Polo/Sweats

I’ve been playing with several ideas and collected a couple of designs.

I wasn’t sure how fine a detail can be embroidered, but it seems that the example I showed at the meeting could be done.

I’ve had an e-mail from a member saying that not all of us own seven type Kit Cars and the logo shouldn’t have a seven on it but a generally car related picture. I’ve been trying to encourage other types of car to the club other than seven types so I have to agree with his thoughts.

It was decided to continue to make some more logos until the next meeting and then start to contact some companies that do embroidering and get some prices.

Ideas included Crossed flags one chequer and one union flag.

The East Anglian border

A comic engineer.

An alloy wheel

And crossed tools.

Thank you to all of those attending today. After yesterdays weather it was a wonder that anyone turned up. We did however have ten kit cars attend and as the day went on the weather became better. It was also nice as always to get a new member attend this was Malcolm Keeley in his very nice Tiger R6.Three of us went on to the car show at Flixton after the meeting and found Steve, Scott, Mark & Sandy already there. Before the next meet we have two Saturday event for members to attend if they so wish please let me know if you wish to attend if you haven’t already.

Thetford youth day Saturday 29^th May

Thetford ATC is hosting this show.

We’ve been invited to this show. I believe it will take the form of a village fete.

I collected ten names of those that will be showing their cars.

T shirts, polo shifts & sweat shirts

The subject of club t shirts has been raised by a couple of members over the last few months this was spoken about some more at Stoneleigh and one member said we would be better to get sweatshirts due to the fact the weather is more often sweat shirt weather than T shirt. So I think we should go for an order containing all three types of top and then members can pick what they would like.

The difficult part is choosing a logo for the front of the tops, or do we not have a logo we had also said it would be good to go for a silly slogan on the back, two members have both suggested “If lost return to the East Anglian kit car club”

So I’m taking your logo and slogan suggestions for these please.

Thank you to all of those attending today. Today made it all worthwhile with so many cars in attendance and luckily enough the car park was almost empty so It allowed us to almost fill it.

We also had a few new faces to bolster our ranks.

I’ve booked places for 30 cars for this event and so far have 27 confirmed to attend.

This number was reduced to 27 due to one car becoming very poorly as it reached Diss

Stoneleigh kit car show 2^nd/3^rd May

There is a group of us going to the show On Saturday afternoon, and another group going on Sunday morning. I will arrange some meeting points for those that wish to travel to the show together.

Club pitch.

We should have a club pitch this year to display our cars and hopefully to camp on for those that are camping.

I will endeavour to get a site map and mark the location on it for you all, I intend to invite the SG7 club from Baldock to join us on this pitch.

Again let me know if you wish to attend and I will let you know what you need to do, if you book in advance the price is £2.50 for both days. If you leave it and pay on the gate it will cost you £7.50 each day.

AS Motorsport build replica vintage Aston Martin cars. They are located at Bressingham, near Diss. once a year they invite a few car clubs to their open day. We have ten members that are intending to attend I will send out more information nearer the time.

March 21st 2010

Thank you to all of those attending today, It was the weather for it and it made a great start to the new season long may it continue.

The Hotel let us down again today, well sort of they promised me a room but this turned out to be the lounge out the back or as some describe it the broom cupboard, obviously with nearly fifty of us present this month, there was no way we were going to fit into it, so I held the meeting outside.

I’ve made winter modifications to the website; these are mainly the photo galleries.

We now have our own Facebook page; I had the idea to allow everyone to add their photos and comments. So far it is going very well with 51 members so far.

SG7 camping weekend at Outney Meadow, on the outskirts of Bungay.11^th – 13^th June.

I have 4 of our members confirmed for this weekend. It is not too late to join us if you wish to.

I’ve collected £5 off each of those that will be attending as a deposit I will be sending a cheque to Helen.

For those that don’t like camping it will be possible to join us for the Saturday visits to a car museum and coastal town.

The Norfolk and Suffolk Westfield meeting follows this meeting for those that wish to attend. This will be at the Four Horseshoes Public House at Thornham Magna from 14:00.

Detling Kit Car Show

Some members showed an interest in attending the show this year if the weather is favourable.

I will put a plan in place to travel to the show on Sunday 4^th. It will be a last minute decision on the Saturday night after looking at the weather reports.
